Media Registration Open for T20 Summit in Tokyo
Tokyo, Japan – Media registration is open for the annual summit of the Think20 (T20), the research and policy advice network for the G20 member countries, to be held on 26-27 May 2019 in Tokyo.
The T20 Summit will bring together experts from top think tanks in G20 countries and beyond to detail their policy recommendations for consideration during the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Osaka on 28-29 June.
Developed under the T20 Japan theme “Seeking a Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Society” and informed by evidence-based research and analysis, the recommendations will focus on helping G20 countries tackle pressing global challenges ranging from infrastructure gaps, aging populations, and digital disruption to trade frictions and political discord, climate change and African development.
T20 Japan is an official engagement group of Japan’s 2019 G20 presidency chaired by the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), in coordination with the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) and Institute for International Monetary Affairs (IIMA).
Setting the tone at the T20 Summit will be a message from Japan Prime Minister Mr. Shinzo Abe and keynote remarks from Bank of Japan Governor Mr. Haruhiko Kuroda, Kenya Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage Dr. Amina Mohamed, and Nobel laureate Prof. Robert Engle of New York University.
